Sometimes locus freezes while import or download - cancel button would help

Solved

Hi,

sometimes locus just freezes while import of caches or while downloading a map. Here a cancel button would be helpful on the dialog box (see screenshot). Just pressing back, does not do anything.

Good day Wolfgang,

when in this case Locus Map really freeze, then "cancel" button won't work as well, unfortunately.

Were you able to find out any logic, what you must do, what you must import, to make this problem appear? Simulation of this issue seems to me as only possible method, how to solve this.

It looks like not the complete app freezes. It just seems to be the popup task which one freezes.

Unfortunately there isn't any logic. The problem while downloading a map I also have seen on other devices. The import not, but this has to do with a different usage of my friends.

The full app only freezes when I try to open a thick geocache folder. Because I'm sometimes not sure if the click got realized by locus I click a second time on the cache folder and then it freezes completely before I see the "Loading....." message. Here it's different because Android asks me if I want to wait or close the app.

Sometimes I think it has to do with the disk management of Android 6. You know it's possible to extend device memory with a SD card. I did it with a supported one (I know about speed differences of SD cards).

I'll hopefully get Nougat next month. Maybe it's different....

As far as I know it's not possible to decide which app will be on internal memory or what will be on the SD card.

Good day Wolfgang,

in latest version 3.25+, whole import feature, also because of some rare problems like this, was rewrote. So I believe, this problem should be solved now.

If there will be any more problems with import with latest version, please let me know.
