Save kmz with images for future display

I have kmz files that contained geo referenced jpg images. I'm able to import these into Locus and view the images as overlays, but I'm not able to save these for future use and must import the files each time I open Locus. Is there a way to save these within Locus for future use?

Placing the files in that directory still does not make them available. When I import the items I get a message that says, "there is no point or track data to display, do you want to show on map?" Not sure if that has something to do with the issue.

That means?

"Datamanager" -> "Items" is empty?

Can you upload this file?

Ok, just tried on phone instead of tablet and it worked. Will verify on tablet again this evening. Thanks for the help.

Hello John,

I'm not sure if everything that gynta wrote is clear for you.

All files stored in Locus/mapItems directory are automatically visible in Locus > data > tab 'Items'. When you tap on these files, it will be immediately loaded on map without need to import. When you close Locus and after a while open again, these files will be automatically reloaded. So it's useful feature for files like you - GroundOverlay maps

Hope this helps you.
