Storing HGT & colour coding

Hi,

1st. with the HGT files, I would like to put them in different folders

marked as zones, eg SH56-10 Armidale special,(HGT S31E151,S31E152,S31E153) like

I've done when storing maps, so as not to take up too much sys memory, That way

I can organize & store them in a different location so all the HGT files

don't load up when starting & this also applies to the shading, maybe I can

import them, but locus doesn,t seem to reconize them unless I take it out of

the folder first. ATM I have to store the HGT files elsewhere. This also

applies to the geo science maps from shoody net as a map item. Except they

don't automatically load up unless I import them which is great for sys

storage, so I can group everything together in the different zones. locus

doesn,t seem to reconize them unless I take it out of the folder first. No dramas

though.

2nd. I colour code my tracks as per degrees of difficulty, same as folder

style or track style Then I export them. When I import them again, The tracks

go back to whatever the base colour is set at. Is there a way to keep the

colour coding when importing. also No dramas though.

Keep up the great work, Cheers

Good day Mark,

I'm not sure what is main reason for your try to separate HGT files. If you talk about memory that Locus consume during usage, it doesn't matter how much files you have in your directory. Locus always works only with one single file that is just needed. When there are need altitude data from different file, connection to first is firstly closed.

KMZ maps available over Data > Items, should be stored in one subdirectory of Locus/mapItems, but not two or more. So it's required to keep this in mind.

2. There is currently problem, that Locus do not export style of track to GPX file. For this is needed this feature http://help.locusmap.eu/responses/also-export-track-color-style-to-gpx , so feel free to vote for that idea.

Hope I gave you at least partial answers. Feel free to ask more if needed.
