Too large deviations of the tracking points. Why?

I tested locus pro the first time with my galaxy s4 mini. I like Lotus pro, it is very comfortable. But comparable to a german app "Meine Tracks" the tracking result of locus pro was very bad. The Settings of the tracking was Intervall (meter) =1; interval time = 1 s; both Points. The result af a slow walk, was that ervery 20 m locus record one Point. The deviation was +/- 20 m the deviation of "Meine Tracks" tracks only +/- 2 m. Why. If I change the Settings to typical values 10 m; 10 seconds the result was not acceptable. What is wrong with my locus pro. I think it is not a typical beavior. Comparable to "Meine Tracks" the result of "Meine tracks" is much better. Can anyone help?

Good day Reikus,

this is very interesting. I do not know if "Meine Tracks" application do something with received GPS data, but Locus not. So which information about location are send to Locus from your Android system, these values Locus record.

So at least I personally do not see any reason, why Locus should record worst values than any other application, sorry

Good day Menion,

see attached the pictures of a parallel tracking with "my track" and locus. The resolution of my track is much better than the one of locus. Is this a bug in the program?

Best regards

Hello reikus,

When I had similar problem on track recording long time ago, disabling "Settings > GPS and location > GPS auto-off" gave better results.

Hello Reikus,

by your screenshot it looks, as ta-ka wrote, that you use GPS auto-off feature. This is very useful to conserve battery, but results is less recorded points, so less fluent track.

So I suggest to disable it in menu > settings > GPS & Location >GPS auto-off

This should help with your problem
