Unreadable transparent dialog boxes

Solved

Dialog boxes look like this, making it almost impossible to use the app. Any fix?

I`m using a custom ROM. The app also force closes often, it should be able to handle some thousand caches, right?

heh nice ... it`s problem of the ROM, not Locus. All standard ROM (even custom) have white, or at least non-transparent background on dialogs!

About crashes - Locus is able to handle quite a lot of data, it just depend on your phone. What device and ROM are you using? Also, are crashes happening during exactly same action or are unpredictable?

But no other app has similar problems..? And about the crashes, I think I just had too much data loaded for the phone to handle, the crashes happened when pressing something on the map.

both screens that are on screenshots are web browser components with transparent background. This is not a common approach anyway I use this on a few places like here. Because almost every device have different background color (unfortunately), I need to have transparent background of these dialog. So there is not much help here. Anyway which ROM are you using? I`m willing to do some fixes for MUIU and Cyanogen mode ROMs ...

about crashes, you may try to log crash log with for example CatLog program (just run it after Locus crash and send me recorded log on locus@asamm.com. I`ll then check it. Even on most low-end devices, Locus should be able to handle few thousands of caches. Maybe if you use vector maps, this number should be lowered, because these maps consume more memory

Just sent you the log. I`m using a HTC Desire S with the Reaper rom which is based on CM7.

thanks for log, it was issue with incorrectly ended "Live map" feature, should be fixed now.

about ROM - looks like valid CM7 clone, anyway this is not simply solvable in Locus. I suggest to contact creator with this issue. By me, it`s missing background color or image on dialogs
