Good day Nicolai,

seems this error is unwanted effect of set custom directory on your device.

Try to open menu > settings > misc > set directories. Here will be probably red text for custom mapsVector directory. So try to set it once more and it should be then blue (as other directories) and this error message should disapear. Let me know if it helps.

sorry now there is another problem

The vector map is shown in red (see attached picture)

What does this mean?

Hmm small confusion in colors? In all lists, red color means that item is selected :). So you should now see this map on screen. Red color has one huge advantage - it's very well visible in bright sun. So it is mainly used to highlight selected items and well, in case of setting a custom directory also as an error color ...

Oh ok

But before the map was always shown in black.

Interesting

Latest Locus version 3.11.2? Again red text in custom settings for your mapsVector directory?

Yes I use the latest locus version and there is again red text in custom settings for the directory.

If I set the directory for the vector maps new, the text is blue and no error is shown anymore. But if I reeboot my phone, the error is shown again and the text in the custom settings is red.

Hmm weird. I've just tested it on own device and no problem.

Are you sure, that SD card was already available after restart, when you started Locus application? What about when you wait a little longer after restart?

Anyway till I won't able to simulate this problem on own device, I also won't be able to fix it.

So sorry, for now, I have no solution on this problem.

Very strange. I tried it many times and I waited a long time after the phone was booting, but the error is already shown. Its very strange because I haven't had this problem in the past. Maybe it's a solution to reinstall Locus. Maybe I will do this next week.

But anyway thanks for your help

With latest version, there were really massive changes around settings of custom directories. Difference is that now defined directory for vector maps is fully writable, so it is possible to download maps from Locus Store directly to SD card, which was not possible previously.

Anyway error on screenshot doesn't make sense to me. I've added some extra messages that appear in background log. If same problem will be still available in next version of Locus (that comes soon), please create for me a log by this method: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log

Thank you and really sorry for a troubles!

No problem

But I can not download maps from the locus store directly to the sd card. I says always waiting and it is not downloading something. But there was already created an problem report by popescu.

Hello Nicolai, sorry to hear this. I found our problem that may result in error you see. So please wait on next Locus version, where it should be fixed. If not, we will have to create some debug version and test it a little more.

Till then, I suggest to use internal memory instead of SD card. Sorry for a troubles.
