In Progress

Hello,

I have not been able to import gpx files with Locus Map Pro on my older Sony Xperia Z1 with Android version 5.1.1 for some time. With older LM versions it was possible.

After selecting the local file to import in the LM file browser I always get get the message shown in the attached screenshot.

You can also download the/my gpx test file from:

https://www.outdooractive.com/de/route/wanderung/schwaebische-alb/wasserfallsteig-bad-urach/2806727/

Best regards

Peter

Hi Peter,

the attached gpx-file contains no valid gpx data.

If you open it with a texteditor like notepad++ or something similar you will see it contains only some blank lines and the text "E-Mail-Decodierung: Fehler".

Hi Peter,

I'm sorry but the problem is not replicable - the track downloaded from Outdooractive is imported without problem in both versions - with and without waypoints. Could you please describe step by step how you proceed?

Hi Michael,

I went through every step which I take usually to import gpx files in my LM.

Most times I download the gpx files from e.g. outdooractive when I work on my notebook and then sent it via email to the smartphone. On the smartphone I save the gpx file (email attachment) in the download folder and import it into LM.

I see now to that the gpx file in the email attchment doesn't seems to be the same file which is in the download folder of the smartphone. Strange.

I connected the smartphone directly with an USB cable to the notebook and copy the gpx file on this way to the smartphone. The import into LM seems to work then.

I would say you can close the case and

I thank you for your help.

Best regards

Peter

Hi,

same problem with the last version of LM!

LM only imports a varying number of pionts, not all and always no tracks.

This worked with the same GPX files in older versions of LM!
