Issue with auto backup on Dropbox

Hi,

I wanted to use auto backup to Dropbox, but run into a problem.

During auto backup, Locus provides the following messages:

"locus uploading of null on dropbox"

"locus error: T: problem with upload file"


important: in the Locus settings, I have selected an user-specified backup directory. It seems that with this combination the issue occurs. When setting back to default backup directory, uploading on dropbox works fine.

Hi Christoph,

what "user-specified backup directory" did you select? Did your define it in the default directories settings? (Locus settings > Miscellaneous > Default directories > Set 'backup' directory). Please send screenshots of these settings. Thanks!

Hi Michal,

yes, I used the way as you described to set my own backup directory. In the end, I just selected another folder on the internal SD card. Screenshot is attached.

Hi Christoph,

the path you defined for the backup leads to a "Locus" folder in the internal memory. However, this is not original Locus directory and the system is confused. Use either the original directory structure, i.e. sdcard/Locus/backup, or the external storage, e.g. storage/1B25-262C/backup.

Hi Michal,

as suggested, I changed the backup directory to the external SD card, using path storage/1B25-262C/Tracks/Locus_backup

Result: Same issue as when setting a user-specific backup directory on the internal memory. Again dropbox upload error with message "locus uploading of null on dropbox"

p.s.: I checked in the defined folder on the external SD card, the backup file was correctly created. Issue is only with uploading on Dropbox.
