S-Pen support in Locus

Samsung Galaxy Note devices family has a stilus, called S-Pen.

Idea is to implement the following functions for S-Pen:

1. Precise selection. Especially when drawing a route.

2. Highlight point name when hovering over it, not touching

3. Highlight wikimapia polygon, showing it's name also - the same way as their mobile site does, when browsing it with Chrome.

4. Drawing a route just freehand, not clicking points. Like here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobilerise.MapsRuler

Maybe other users can add something else ?

Hello Vitalii,

I was already looking on S-Pen support, but because there were not a big interest from users side and also their library is for my surprise quite big, I decided not to add any special features now. We plan some better ways of editing and handling of tracks on map, so maybe then S-Pen time will come.

Seems also that S-Pen is going to be used more and more on modern samsung devices so I`m sure, there are places (functions) where S-Pen should be useful.

If you don`t mind, I`ll change this topic to "idea", so others may vote for S-Pen support in Locus

3meg extra isnt much for spen support, my map files alone are over 1000 times that size so 3meg is inconsequential

I just bought a Galaxy Note mainly for Locus route planning because the new track editing on phone for a 500..100km cycle day trip is still tedious to edit.

I'm thinking about a Note 4. Can anybody tell me if right now the stylus is of no use at all, or if it at least helps in selecting/moving points?

I have galaxy note 3 to be honest i never use the s pen locus is built to be used only with fingers, but it can be useful to drag points in track.

However galaxy note is the best phone

S-Pen support can be useful to drag points (as Guido pointed out) but also to draw routes or measuring distances more quickly than using the center of the screen and scrolling.

Hi Menion, any news about this feature?

I don't know if the votes are enough, but drawing a route with the S-Pen (while panning with the fingers) speeds up a lot the creation, especially if there are many corners.
