Track not recovered after phone reset

Peter Kundrat shared this problem 9 years ago
Solved

On my trip (Aug 29th) i was recording the track for several hours, then my phone fell on the ground and battery got disconnected. After starting locus again, it didnt find the previously recorded track, so i had to start a new one.

I tried the same scenario now - and now it automatically continued the interrupted track (without asking - but this is ok).

The app is installed into phone memory - no SD card is involved.

Would it be possible to add some debug logging to identify the root cause of such incident when the saved route is not found?

The continuation feature is really nic, but this should be more robust - losing tracks is very unpleasant as sometimes it is quite difficult to find the same trail the second time.

Hello Peter,

sorry for these troubles. Anyway this issue is already solved in version published in friday, so please update your Locus version.

I was on my motorcycle and after a while the battery was empty.

I was of the opinion that the locus recording continuously stores, so that the recording exists in any case.

In the directory \locuscache\track_rec I found a file track.lb.

Date and time fits. How to reactivate?

Hello Skater,

I think it should be possible restore this track. So

1. be sure you do not have currently any track record running and also that you have latest Locus version installed.

2. then try to move content of your /locuscache/track_rec directory to new directory in Locus/cache/track_rec (it's probably clear where was a problem).

This should help and Locus after start should notice about unfinished track recording.
