Add "Power Off" button on screen
Completed
When running with my smartphone (on my wrist, in a typical pouch with transparent face), I can't reach the power button easily. Switching the phone on with a double tap is easy, but I can't switch the display off that way.
Could you add a soft button (optionally) on the Locus Pro map screen to switch the screen off?
Install and try app DTSO. Use the "floating widget" function.

Maybe not a separate soft Off-button, but double tapping the screen at any location, would work even better. (Is it only Sony smartphones that can switch on by double tapping?)

Yes, only some phones using special hardware can !
So.....by soft:
Samsung Tab4 7 inch Kit Kat version, no proximity sensor, unlock tablet by simple swipe.
Locus map screen wake up is by samsung's hardware home button. Screen turn off by double tapping the DTSO transparant widget and a "no lock" screen turn off is by Locus display function setting: Disable screen lock: "Basic screen lock"

So far, using the Locus settings to prevent the lock-screen when switching on works. But using the proximity sensor (Locus setting: deactivate screen by gesture) works only one in ~5 times. A simple soft-button would be a much more reliable solution. Couldn't that just be added to the bottom bar (next to, or optionally instead of the lock-button)? That would be much more simple.

No new button in the lower bar, keeps large zoom in/out buttons.
Alternative not using extra space:
Lock button -> Long tap -> Set standard action or multiple choice.
Add extra menu: - Screen Off.

Hello guys,
feature will be implemented in next Locus Map version. I firstly thought to add it under "lock" bottom menu as Willy (0709) suggested, but in the end, it will be as another optional button that may be added into functions (top, right) panel.

Great! Best app ever.

Hi noticed. I suggested for the "lock button" as that important screen-off function would always be at the same fixed position. Anyway no problem I personally do not need the function and Jan-Gerard is a happy Locus user. Have a nice Sunday.
