Hi menion,

Thanks for your quick reply. I use locus for fishing and make kmz depth maps, so its verry important I can use them. I have attached a map that was working with the previous version. Please don't share this map.

I,m looking forward for your reply

Thnx, Dennis

Good day Dennis,

understand. I do not see attached file here, anyway to prevent some unwanted download, please send me file on locus@asamm.com email. I'll fix it immediately. During next week will be published new version of Locus with various fixes.

Good day Dennis,

thank you for an email with file and screenshot. I'm testing your file and it works correctly for me. Anyway I probably know where is a problem. You are using "Import" function of Locus to load this KMZ file and display right? Import feature any serve really mainly to import anything to Locus internal database, like points and tracks.

To display and work with KMZ files like you have is best to use "MapItems". More about it here http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:items

Anyway to simplify it: just copy your KMZ file into Locus/mapItems (or any subdirectory here) and in Locus in Data > tab "Items", tap on this file to load it on map. Thats all. It should work. Let me know.

Hi Menion,

Thanks for your quick answer. I did it not on the the way you have mentioned. With the previous versions I could always load the file directly from my phones download folder. Now I have put the file in the map items folder and it works for me :-)

I was very used to the old method, straightly open the file with locus from my download folder. Can you make this work again?

Many thanks for your quick help and reply.

P.s I have a great idea for locus pro! Can I contact you off topic?

Best regards, Dennis

Understand. I'll add this functionality back in next version. Anyway I see solution here more like:

1. select file for import

2. Locus asks - "File has no data to import, copy to mapItems directory for usage?" Or similar ...

You are of course welcome and sorry for complications.

About new great idea ... well, as you may see, already few thousands not implemented ideas is here on help desk. So I really prefer posting great ideas as public and waiting if they get attention or not.
