Change the projected waypoint units

Would it be possible to select the distance units (eg drop down list of feet, meters, miles, km etc) when trying to project a waypoint? My default units are feet, but many cache give the distance in meters. Either I have to change my default, or do an offline calculation. Locus could do this conversion so much better!
