Changing source app of an image for georeferencing

What about an option to select a different source of images other than default Android Gallery app? Because when I want to georeference an image over the map, it redirects me directly to the Gallery app, no option to set different app as a source for the image. For example, I`d like to set the path to the image in Total commander, because the Gallery app takes ages to actually display the image in appropriate album. So that would be good to consider, giving the user an option to select different apps as a source for the image.

Hello Šimon,

I have to deny this idea for a simple reason. Android is based on simple concept. Application use other applications by method called "Intent". And point of these intents is, that they`re anonymous. For example picking of images in Locus works

1. Locus call into system "Give me image"

2. now wait for positive or negative response

If in your system exists application that know action "Give me image" it reacts. If there is more then one, you see "Choose dialog", where you select which application will handle "Give me image".

So fact, that total commander do not appear in this list mean, that total commander do not know action "Give me image". So I suggest to test any other application, like QuickPic . There is many better alternatives that default image browser
