Hi menion,

is it possible to have different settings for textsize

viewing "Timerings" and "POI text" ?

For example:

to read timeringtext i need min 30pix

to read POI-text 15pix are enaugh.

I hope the readability of timerings and text for other lines will become better with the implementation of https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/top....

I think we should wait for the outcome because maybe the timering text will be then readable as well with 15pixels.

I added white (or inverse) border to texts in circles right now ...

maybe it will helps.

I`m anyway not a big fan of extra settings for some colors, sizes etc. I still believe that there should be possibility to define universal size and colors for all stuff (with ability to scale it (like to 50%, 150% etc).

Only possibility for me is as gynta wrote, into configuration file with possibility to manually edit. Anyway is this really needed? Do you (gynta) really need possibility to define all these settings? I`m able to create some more precise configurations, but this is way to much ... really :)

As i wrote: I`m a big fan of cfg files ;o)

I think all default values (see list above) already exits.

Why not in a configfile?

Noboby must - but anybody can! edit

e.g:

I don`t found any settings for "line to gps"

or:

If i like to change ONE Text color/style for xxx -> some other text types also changes. ;-/

"Why not in the configfile? "

because everything have it`s limits, even a config file :). I believe no one except you, want to search through 5000 lines of config code

side effect is time I need to create settings for around 39 items. Maybe a day to make it all work

Oh, I can wait ;o)

I also like to search through lines of config:)

I know we have few geeks here who will be happy to play around with dozens of settings in a text file with error-prone syntax. Yes, I`m one these guys, too.

But Locus has thousands of users who either won`t touch the config file or much worse, will make syntax or other errors and complain that Locus isn`t working and damage Locus` reputation in the playstore.

well, as i wrote:

nobody has to do it - but everyone could,

currently I change some indicators - and other things are also will inadvertently changed.

news:

------------

r - means requested

a - means added (to config file)

I had to reduce little bit number of requested settings, sorry :). Border is applied on all items and is always 1px and white. No way to change it

Heading line

- r: Linewidth, Linecolor, Bordercolor

- a: map_items_heading_line_color

Course bearing line

- r: Linewidth, Linecolor, Bordercolor

- a: map_items_course_bearing_line_color

Distance rings

- r: Linecolor, Bordercolor, Textsize, Textcolor, Bordercolor

- a: map_items_distance_rings_font_size, map_items_distance_rings_color

Time rings

- r: Linewidth, Linecolor, Bordercolor, Textsize, Textcolor, Bordercolor

- a: map_items_time_rings_font_size, map_items_time_rings_color

Dynamic altitude

- r: Textsize, Textcolor, Bordercolor

- a: map_items_dynamic_altitude_font_size, map_items_dynamic_altitude_color

Line to GPS

- r: Linewidth, Linecolor, Bordercolor, Textsize, Textcolor, Bordercolor

- a: map_items_line_to_gps_font_size, map_items_line_to_gps_color

Guide on

- r: Arrowcolor (Arrow from cfg), Textsize, Textcolor, Bordercolor

- color + text size is already in Locus menu > settings > guiding

No I weren`t, but you may be lucky that gynta is on your side. His voice have power of many :))

Gynta, you will be able to prepare some nice graphical config files, which will fit coloristically with your icons.

So - after some tests with many colors, I was not able to create a proper solution.

Looks fine with the black bg color in the first testversion (v2.7.4.1)

Now, in the final version i have no choise - only white.

I`m sad, but with only a white background it was impossible.

Menion, PLEASE give me a map_items_bg_color too :D

Or simply change standard white to black

Like in google maps, earth,... and so on

you`re crazy with these colors :)

http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php/manu... ... check "Map Items" section (I did it now, so you have to wait till next version of course)

After a few experiments with different maps

The result:

miss a guding line text setting

photo
2

guiding line text is defined in Locus settings directly, not over config file

photo

as you say - line and txt - but not the txt_bg
