Display activation during navigation does not work without voice output

Not a Problem

For some locus updates with me the display activation with active navigation no longer works. I have tried all possible settings for display and navigation, but the display stopped with turn-off hints.

Today I have determined that both text-to-speech must be and also no checkmark in "navigation mute" may be set, so the display activation works?

Good day Richard,

this is correct observation. Even in settings for "Screen on/off" is wrote: "Turn on when notified during navigation". So working voice notification is necessary to make this feature work.

Anyway agree that "mute" button should be excluded from this, which may be useful in cases, when you wants to use display on/off feature without hearing voice instructions. So consider this as "done" improvement to next version.

Good day Simone,

if I remember correctly ... we talk here about "mute" available after! you start navigation, tap on top right big button with navigation order to open "navigation menu". At bottom is checkbox to mute nav. voice. Hope this helps.

Sorry for a late answer. Yes, this is what I meant before.

Isn't working?

What you also mean by "beep" sound? It should mute all navigation sounds, so all Text-to-speech announcements or sounds from custom TomTom based voices.

sorry, I wanted to say "beep" not "bip".

When I use Guidance, notifications do "beep" and screen turns on, but there are no left and right indications.

So I use Navigation but I don't want the voice, but only "beep", screen on and I see left and right indications.

You prefer navigation (auto)display on and "beep" over TTS Human Voice ?

Action.

Step 1: Phone Online ! > LOCUS MAP > Locus Store > Features > Morse Voice Samuel > DOWNLOAD (free)

Step 2: Settings > Navigation > Advanced settings > Two commands at once > Off.

Step 3: * Set single notify command before turn by edit config.cfg (See example)

# NAVIGATION

# --------------------------------

# times before command, when Locus notify (in seconds), default is: 15|35|300

navigation_announcements_times=15

Step 4: Settings > Navigation > Select voice > samuel international

Step 5: Navigation > Start.

@ Menion: Complicated advise by many necessary steps. Simplify ?

A. Morse Voice Samuel: Add standard into Locus map ? (Step 1)

B. Move config setting # NAVIGATION # to Gui Menu ? (Step 3)

Settings > Navigation > Advanced settings > Notify command times in sec: |15 | xx | xxx |
