Export of recorded tracks doesn´t work

I tried to export a recorded track following the instructions of the users guide: Result "Prozess nicht erfolgreich"

path: /storage/extSdCard/Locus/EigeneRouten

name of file: 2015-10-04

Export Typ GPX v1.0

version LocusPro 3.13.1

Samsung SM-A300FU, Android 5.0.2

Would be great, if there is some help.

Hi Johannes,

just can't simulate your problem, everything works as it should, tested with the same configuration as you did. Have you tried some other location to export to? Or format? or GPX type?

Hi Michal,

thanks for your quick answer. Due to your suggestions I did the follwoing:

I successfully exported as .csv and .gpx to my dropbox.

I successfully exported as .gpx to /storage/emulated/0/Locus/export

I repeated to the above mentioned path: failure.

I repeated to the another path on the external sd card: /storage/extSdCard/Locus: failure

Is related to the external Sd card - but what/why?

Not solved - but at least I have a workaround.

One more thing - maybe Locus just doesn't have permission to write on your SD card. Check this in your phone settings >permissions and allow it.

I really tried but I didn´t find the point, where to change the permission for the SD-card.

Is it possible that you describe the place for setting in more detail?

HI Johannes, I personally don't know the settings of your phone. I searched Internet and found many video reviews but none as detailed as needed. Perhaps it could be somewhere in Applications - try to look for Locus there and check if there isn't some "permissions" button. Tomorrow I'll discuss it with a colleague who has experience with Samsungs, perhaps he'll help.

Good day guys,

Johannes, you have rooted device? Because if your device is not rooted, then your card is "read only" for all applications (except some rare cases). This is change since Android 4.4.

Michal was probably already thinking about new Android 6.0, where was introduced new system for permissions (which still do not helps here anyway).

So sorry, but export directly to SD card is not possible on Android 4.4+ anymore. Error message is little bit confusing, I'll try to improve it to next version of Locus. Sorry for a troubles.

Well, I must admit I thought the SD card read-only issue doesn't matter in case of exporting... sorry for this misunderstanding.
