Export track folder with individual name

When I export a point folder I can select an individual name. When I export a track folder I can't. I also want to give an individual name when I export a track folder.

Hello Ivo,

In case of folder with tracks, situation is little bit different compare to points.

When you export points, all exported points are stored in single file, so you choose this name of a file.

In case of tracks, every track is exported into separate file, so it should be really complicated to name every single track, instead names of files are generated by name of track itself.

From my point of view, there is no reason why to allow direct naming of every exported track in case you export whole folder. Am I right?

I don't want rename the single tracks, only the zip file of the folder. I also give my folder a name where the tracks are stored in. At least the name of the exported zip file should have the name of the folder. When I export two different track folders it's hard to distinguish them from each other by date and time. Would be easier if they have track folder name like africa or kayaking.

Hello ivo,

what steps during export are you doing, because I do not remember that Locus Map is able to export tracks of single folder into single zip file. Thanks

Sorry. I mixed something up. You are right they are exported as single tracks in the exported folder. I think I lost overview because it's mixed up with other exports what brings me to the idea that if you export a folder, the folder with folder name should be exported with the single tracks included.

Ah ok, no problem.

Understand that packing multiple tracks into single zip may be useful, but it's not possible yet.

I still dream about export dream, so maybe it will be possible once (together with compression to zip file with custom name).

Thanks Menion, you should not work on Sundays. Time to relax... Better to have one day a week without email and computer.
