Free maps for new User

Go to menu -> locus store, sign in with google account then choose your country in the list and select LoMaps.

Thanks for quick answer but in menu -locus store  - is no link for signing in to be found. The only option ist to buy a map or redeem a voucher.

if the store open for you, click top right on the hamburger button, now you see with which mail adress you are logged in.

if you were not prompted for login during Locus Store access, you had probably logged some other time (e.g. when starting live tracking). More info here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=de:manual:faq:free_maps_for_new_users

Sorry for being persisting but I am unable to identify something like a "hamburger button". I guess I have hit all the buttons possibly available. Furthermore I have gone through the procedure described in your last email but never saw the gift package symbol indicating the free Download. I have not activated any function so far.

let's check you procedure step by step:

1) have you gone to Locus menu > Locus Store?

2) do you see three tabs there - by country, by usage, by provider?

3) when you tap By provider, do you see Asamm SW on the first position?

4) when you tap it, it unfolds into several folders, one of them is Maps - right?

5) when you tap Maps, an offer of continents > countries emerges. Let's tap Europe - Germany - Bayern

6) do you see Bayern - LoMaps&Addresses? If Yes, tap it

7) now you should see the "gift" button in the right upper corner of the detail screen of the map

The first 6 steps have been executed successfully only step 7 did not work. The "gift" button refuses to appear.

I have used the same email adress that I have been using the whole time. I used to have another one for my Google Account: wiedmann-ploen@t-online.de

That's why you don't see any more "gift" buttons in Locus Store.

I was just about to tell you exactly this fact. I was assuming that by changing to Locus Maps Pro there would be again 3 free maps available. I did not realize that this will happen only once in a lifetime.Thanks for your cooperative efforts to clear the case.

Your map gifts are associated with your user account, not with the app version you have installed. That's why you can use your maps bought in one version also in the other.
