Importing multiple .kmz files at a time does not work for me, importing single one ok

Solved

Hallo locus team,

as a side product for a project I generated many .kmz overlays. I can import them into Locus one at a time but can't seem to import multiple ones even though Locus gives me this option of selecting multiple files. Map view goes blank (the grid disappears), and import never finishes. My files work fine in G Earth (my very simple kml template is nearly identical to something from google devs tutorial). See screenshots, I can share the actual files somehow. BTW, is it possible to make these overlays permanent, so no need to import them again when Locus restarts? Thanks, Radim, Prague.

Good day Radim,

please share files with me here, I definitely needs something to test because with few files I tried now, no problem happen.

Best, how to work with items that cannot be directly placed into database ( or if you do not want to place it into database ), is over "Map Items" feature. Check this: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:items . Shortly ... place somewhere into Locus/mapItems directory and activate in menu > more > Map items.

Thanks

four adjacent tiles. There is some minor rendering problem on south edge but this is I suspect due to rounding issues and is also present in earth.

Unfortunatelly, I am unable to validate my kml template properly, because the xsd schema is over 2MB and online validators do not accept that. I will try smth different.

Thanks Radim for a files, it helped.

Problem found and hopefully solved.

Anyway suggested method is really over using mapItems system, so suggest to give it a try.

Let me know, if there will be still any problem in next version.

Thanks, of course I will use the suggested method. The goal of my project is to derive a standard graph from files related to these and it works. I am more focused on Garmin devices now but I may have some questions on Locus API in devs forum some time in the future. Thanks. R
