Hi Locus Team

Do you have contact to map1eu team? Because they stopped any communication with the community and I got the feeling, the whole project is stopped too... still people can get the information in Locus-Store to donate to Map1.eu... In my simple understandin, you donate to support their work, but if they down work, its kinda stiealing..

If you have contact, maybe its the best to ask them about the running of their project...

For a week or so the site http://beta.map1.eu/ was dead, but now it is there again...

So do you have any new information ?

Well, the communication with administrator/developer of Map1,eu site is quite complicated. We tried to contact him maybe 10 times during last year. I can remember that we received only one response that explained that he's quite busy.

I can not give you any exact answer but from my personal opinion is project almost death.

Thanks for the info. This is sad - IMHO he really did the best rendering of OSM maps, only locus comes close, but it seems to be only for the phone. Any plans to change this ?

Do you mean special Locus web map server that should offer similar maps as LoMaps? We've thought about it several times... But honestly it's quite complex task and we (or better I) have been always worry about it.

Yes, but I agree that with given limited resources it is probably is better to stay focused, the more that the app can be used outdoors, in difference to the desktop version.
