Problems with Samsung S5 neo - heading line + disable screen lock
Solved
Hi,
i´ve a view Problems with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo an Locus Maps.
- the heading line Displays the wrong direction (about 210° to much) - i think this is since the last Samsung Update to Android 6.0.1 - Kernel 3.10.61-8140803 about two month ago (but it could also be a locus update)
- the disable screen lock function is not working anymore - this is since the last locus update from 3.8.2016
Please check this and fix it
Regards
Chris

Hi,
I have the same problem regarding the disable screen lock function - since the recent updates (3.18.6) this very useful feature is not working anymore.
My mobile phone is a Samsung S5 plus (G901F).
I would highly appreciate getting this issue fixed.

Hi,
we know about the screen-lock issue and it'll be fixed in the next Locus version.
As for the heading line - have you tested Locus compass view? What about map rotation - does it work? Have you tested your HW compass in another app (e.g. GPS Status)? Check also your Locus settings > Sensors > Use hardware compass (if it is checked)

Heading-line has never been good on my Galaxy Note 3.. I ignore the use of it.
Be sure to remove any case/protector as some are known to include magnet or interfere with compass.
Opened a ticket about it some months ago.. my old S2 always got it right :-)

That could be the issue too: mobile hardware compass is very sensitive on nearby magnetic metals and may display malformed values in their close presence, e.g. magnetic flipcases or steel steering bars.
