Show POIs along/near a track

Is it possible to make locus show only POI that are located on/near a track?
For example during a longer car trip it would be nice to see only the restaurants/petrol stations along the track. I only know how to show all of those POI but then there are sooo many and the map will slow down.

This is an interesting idea. It seems that the best implementation would be via sorting waypoints by distance TO A SELECTED TRACK/ROUTE. The distance might (?) be defined as distance to the nearest waypoint of the track/route. However this function could be rather computentionally intensive for a mobile device.
