Slow Locus Map after install on device with Android 7
Closed
I recently changed phones (from Nexus 5 to Nexus 6), reinstalled Locus on the new Phone and so far no problem. But since i moved all tracks from the old to the new phone (through dropbox) Locus has turned into a painstakingly slow app. Maybe i should delete all tracks but i really would rather keep them and think this sould not happen. Maybe someone knows what to do to solve this great problem, because i m reaaly fond of Locus and use it very often.
Kind regards,
Anthon Keuchenius
Is your Nexus on Android 7 ?
Do you display all those tracks ?

Yes Android 7.0. I display old tracks yes, i like that. Was no problem before on the Nexus 5, so why should it be problem now?

Well, after upgrade to Android 7 I am facing problems on a LG G5 that I never had before.
Slow down in map display at levels 16 or 17 (depending on rgeion of the owrld, but not the type of map, theme or alike).
Dependency is on GPS switched on in Locus or not (on = slow, off=fast).
Same question you have :-)

Hello guys,
seems it same problem that I started to work on in second topic here . Hmm Michal, if this is not a problem, let's continue into this topic together with Anthon, hope we find out something.
So, issue still happen or was solved with latest version of Locus Map?

OK, I have more precise trigger for the problem:
- threshold is ZL 15, 16, 17, depending on location on the planet map
- real GPS (Android) & satellites on (Locus): no problem
- Fake GPS (Android App) & satellites on (Locus): PROBLEM
- no GPS at all & satellites on (Locus): no problem
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Michael

Hello,
so by Fake GPS you mean this app?
So to simulate it, I should install this app, start it, set some location, then start Locus Map and turn on GPS in app ... and maps should be slow now, right? Or are there more complicated steps to simulate this problem?
