Weird graph of (calculated) speed

Solved

Hi,

I am trying to create missing part of my track (missing due to a dropout of my gps receiver). I have a replacement track without correct time stamps. I am injecting the time stamps with help of http://gotoes.org/strava/Add_Timestamps_To_GPX.php page. All is going well, except the Locus does't show the speed chart as I am expecting.

In the simplest case, when I want to have a constant speed, I get the resulting gpx in attachment. It stores a move with constant speed 4 km/h. The http://www.gpsvisualizer.com confirms this - it shows this speed profile:

d6d8adc89d9f43c6467afa02e38955ba

After I have imported the gpx file to Locus, it shows this graph:.

71776b7a465cfb6d568d46211edc2836

The other curves looks the same. For example time-elevation curve:

41d6b96eefbac214b82c3880701d5803

5dbc757a6124c4fad00d4c25ba092db6

What is the problem?

Thanks

Honza

Good day Honzo,

it is possible to write us also in Czech, just please place at start of topic name "[CZ]" label, thanks!

Anyway to your issue .. problem found of course in method how Locus Map compute speed from coordinates. You may temporary solve this issue, if you generate more frequently points of tracks. Currently, distance between them is more then 10 seconds. Try to generate spaces shorter then 10 seconds and it will work.

Issue will be fixed in next Locus Map version. Thank you!

Hello Menion,

Ok, next issue i will write in Czech... :-)

I am not able to generate the track. I am using the part of the real track. In fact it is the part of the same track from the same part of the trail just travelled in the opposite direction. Maybe this is the cause of unexpected length of spaces in the track.

But it is not problem to wait for the next version.

You are doing a great work!
