In te playstore information of the app google says data is not transferred on a encrypted connection.
Does this also apply to login data?
How bad is this?

there must have been a misunderstanding somewhere.
All communication from the app goes through HTTPS.
There is no additional encryption, but it shouldn't be necessary.
We'll check why this is defined in Google play like this and and we will put the information in perspective.
