My KOMPASS maps worked in Locus 3 classic but not in Locus 4?

I have read and understood, that KOMPASS is not interested any more in selling its maps within Locus and seems not be willing to talk to you.

My problem however is: I have purchased many KOMPASS maps many years ago. They still now work fine in Locus 3.70.17, but not any more in Locus 4.31.3. Is this right???

I have copied the map files *.sqlitedb and *.sqlite-journal from Locus 3 to Locus 4 folder

MySDCard\Android\media\menion.android.locus\maps\KOMPASS\*.sqlitedb.

In Locus 4, in the Center map dialogue (see picture) the maps show up as expected. But once I select one of the maps, the following map screen shows messages "Access denied" and "Kartenbereich nicht verfügbar" (see picture) but no KOMPASS map.

Did I do anything wrong, how can I do it better?
