I have a suggestion to you for Locus Map, may be you and your customers will like it.

When in “Guidance Along a Route” mode may be additional submode, when no any map, setting, buttons etc. on the black screen. On the black screen there is one arrow only, showing the direction of movement.

This is for energy saving. Since in many applications there is no need to look at the map all the time, but you need to look at the direction often to follow in the right direction. For example, when you pick up mushrooms in a forest, you need to go where you didn’t go before, or just by the point, but nothing else matters. And it turns out to walk for a long time and the phone quickly discharges if you turn on the entire screen all the time you need to check direction. Or show the route direction on a bicycle, same.

Perhaps something else can be done to save energy, maybe the GPS is not permanently connected, but at some small time intervals, if it saves something. Maybe something else can be invented to extend the battery life in a trip.
