Display points in a vertical beam of light

I have had issues with the point elevation when you are near points in the AR view. The points will end up being below me or high up in the sky and hard to find.

I think a solution would be to show a narrow vertical beam of light on the display from each point, that way the elevation would not be critical and you would still be able to see and move to points easier with incorrect or no vertical data. You could also still show the label within the vertical column exactly how it is currently shown.
