Changing of the default Maps Vector directory on a rooted device with frozen file manager
Not a Problem
Hi,
a rather obscure problem, but just in case someone else should encounter this, here is what happened:
on my rooted Galaxy S9 I had to re-install an older Nandroid backup of the same CustomROM - and found that I could not change the default Maps Vector directory to the external SD card; I only got an error message (translated from German) "an app for that function was not found".
Strangely, some defaults (like the Maps directory) COULD be changed.
It took a while to find out that the app in question was the default file manager, which I had „frozen” using Titanium Backup.
Once I „unfroze” it, I could once again change all default directories.
Cheers
(and a belated Happy New Year),
Jochen
