Snippets for logging

One feature of the now defunct app Cachesense which I found to be very useful was a feature called Snippets. It was a list of user created phrases that are commonly used in logs, such as "easy fiind", "log book needs replacing", "dropped trackable" etc. When writing a log, there was a button that accessed this list and choosing a "snippet" inserted that bit of text into the log where required. Placeholders could be used in a snippet. Could this be incorporated into Locus?
