Data field: Merge tracks with Points and export/save as merged file.

Gathering feedback

There excist in Data-> (Points,Tracks,Items): in section "Tracks" a possibility to merge "tracks with tracks" but no possibility to merge or join toghether "tracks with points" and then exporting/save this track as one merged file. Pse add this possibility.

Aha... yes, I already had seen this somewhere in the Locus knowledge base.

Export map content

Function exports all current visible points and tracks into KMZ file
File is stored in Location ..Locus/export/sharemapcontent.kmz

But was just forgotten to test this (using .kmz instead of .gpx), and so lost my own connectivity with that knowledge base item ;-) . Now using this functionality, loading a track with waypoints (into a POI map "Way"), POI Filter on name and or Symbols, add and delete individual points and so (re)edit this track manually, then exported, saved and shared the result with all the current points, and used symbols. Excellent !

For my purposes this solution is adequate and the feature request for me is Solved.

This is a method if you import the .kmz file again.

However this is not a good method .

In fact , creat a track with waypoint is a very useful feature.

I don't know why still not support until now.

We are looking forward to ...

cnchip - were these screen captures real or fake - did v3.9.0 have useful feature "merge points with (selected) track" and then feature removed? would be far more convenient than workaround that Wolfgang suggests.

Hi Andrew,

About picture by cnchip. If I remember correct, there was only some small misunderstanding in using the function. Merging track/points from DB folders to a single gpx file output was never possible.

In picture: When importing a single merged file (mix points/track):

Locus suggests: Split into DB points and DB track ? Or just leave as is= merged.

About my remark: solved.(=partly)...of coarse is better if direct available in gpx. No doubt.

Of course, the last release seemed added the search feature for tracks.

I am continue use and like Locus !

About the picture of import and merge, of course it is real, why doubt me ? aha...

However, the last release is added the merge box again.

Hello Planck.

I did not notice you here in help desk. ( I searched you at the other Locus forum). OK fine, so still using Locus ;-) About the picture, of coarse = real...but we had a PM (I deleted that mail) before in 2015 about the merge issue. Remember ? If not. no problem. Welcome again.
