Good morning, lately when I record a track, after a few minutes the recording stops and pauses and it appear a message "Presence of an unfinished track"(in Italian: “Presenza di un tracciato non terminato”). What can I do to eliminate this problem?

Hi,

launch a file browser in your device and go to folder Locus > cache > track_rec and delete its content.

Dear Michal, thank you very much for your assistance. Unfortunately I'm not so skilled in this kind of things. For example I don't know what you mean by "launch a file in your browser". I tell you what I have done: I have a Huawei phone, I went on "settings", I open "app and notifications", I went to "App", I opened Locus Map, I entered in Memory and there it appears "Delete data" and "delete cache". I pressed "Delete cache". Unfortunately nothing changed and I still have the same problem. Have I done the right procedure as you told me? Shall I delete also the Data?

Thanks again for your patience.

Hi Italo,

I didn't advise you to "launch a file in your browser" but "launch a file browser in your device". File browser is a software that allows to copy, move, delete files and folders in your mobile phone, like e.g. Explorer or Total Commander in a PC. In a mobile phone, it is e.g. ES Explorer but it isn't usually installed by default. Almost each mobile phone is equipped by some file browser, usually marked with an icon of a yellow folder. Is there something like this in your mobile? If not, I recommend installing the ES Explorer from Google Play. It's one of the best.

OK, you know what a file browser is. Now open it (launch it :)) and find Locus directory. It is usually on a drive named /sdcard/. Open Locus directory, find "Cache" directory and open it, find "Track_rec" folder and open it. If there is any file in it, delete it. That should solve your problem.

Hi Michal, thanks again for the assistance and sorry to bother you again. I have done the procedure you told me. In fact I haven't found any content in the Track_rec this because I have discovered that I had already a file browser called in Italian "gestione telefono" and without knowing the procedure I cancelled the cache. Unfortunately the Locus map is giving me the same problem. Is it possible that I have canceled also something which was not to be canceled? I will be very glad if you could help me again. Italo

Hi Italo,

OK, let's try something else:

1) go to Locus settings > Miscellaneous > Clear temporary data > check Temporary files and clear data

2) make a backup of your tracks/points and settings with Backup manager and save it to a Cloud (see how: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:backup)

3) go to your system settings > applications > Locus Map > Clear cache/clear data

4) restart Locus

5) go to Locus Backup manager and restore your saved backup

6) restart Locus again
