Hi there,
Nice update. And I have a suggestion to maximize the spaces of the top, bottom, and side panels.
In Portrait mode, there is a smaller space for customization on the top panel while on the Landscape Mode there is a larger space. As per current features, same panel configuration appears in either portrait or landscape.
let say:
You have 10 panels to add to but the ideal maximum number of functions on top panel is 4 and any excess will be located in the side panel. Set-up: 4 Top function panels and 6 Side function panels which is still okay in portrait mode. But when you're on landscape mode, the top panel is spread-out to 4 functions while the side panel is squeeze-in the side pane; to 6 functions.
ADHOC REQUEST: Make the bottom panel be allowed for customization also. For example, I'm using hardware butoons for the zoom-in and out which makes the same function in bottom panel redundant and consumes larger space than other bottom panel functions. So, instead of the excess functions on the top panel be transferred to side panel, use bottom panel first, then side panel.
That's all. :)
I have the same concern. Can we have different profile/mode of function panels for portrait and landscape?
Also, I think it's best to allow the bottom panel as customizable also to save space. For example, I'm using hardware buttons for zoom-in and out which makes the same function on bottom panel redundant and consumes more space than other bottombpanels.

Hi Menion!
Could you please have a look at this (again). I know, I posted it as an idea, but the more I use rotation, the more I think it's a bug. It just makes no sense that you have to decide on a number of top panel buttons for both portrait and landscape. If you choose for portrait, you'll have an unnecessary long info field and a right-side bar that you have to scroll - and the other way round.
I know, the current GUI doesn't easily support it, but wouldn't it be possible to add a setting "In landscape, show more buttons in top panel: [-] [ xx ] [+]"?

Afaik, 3.25 will add the ability to define different sets of buttons within presets. While this is not the same as this idea, it will probably make the whole thing moot in most cases, as you can define a preset for landscape viewing with different button number/selection. If this works as I imagine, I think this idea can be "archived" ;)

Good day Ingo,
good point, thank you for information. I'm glad that "Presets" are solution not just on a single problem :).

Just checked out 3.25, works as I expected, very nice. For me, this is obsolete now.
