Autozoom in on map when you come come closer to a turn point

Yoannjap shared this problem 2 years ago
Solved

Hello,

I am a subscriber for years to locusMap Pro.

I have now the 4th prime version, but a big problem caused by a missing feature doesn't let you use the app easily when you ride a cycle.

Indeed, you cannot set map autozoom in or autofit when you get closer and closer to a turn point/a round about, whatever your speed is.

Without this possibility I nearly each time have to stop on my bike to be able to manually zoom in easily the map to see exactly how the crossroads is drawn when complex ones.

Google Maps and OSM can do that.

Thanks for your reply and your work,

Yoannjap

This is a very bad thing, it make the app unusable with cycling trip!

The app is therefore not unusable. There may be the option through Tasker. Here you could ask in the forum. And there is the option to zoom quickly with the remote control on the handlebars.

Indeed, I already use Tasker Locus plugin.

However, I asked on this topic (https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/automatically-zoom-in-at-navigation-instruction) on how to get autozoom in function of the distance your are from the next crossing, but no one answered. Moreover, there's no tutorial offered by Locus on how to use Tasker Plugin to get that.

Any idea on how we could set it?

Thansk,

Yoannjap

I also have the plugin but only use it for 2 functions. I did the rest directly in Tasker. Can you give me the link from the forum. Then we write the rest there.

A big thanks for your answer-comment freischneider.

If I understood well what you asked for, the link of the forum is the one I have in my previous comment: https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/automatically-zoom-in-at-navigation-instruction

My comment is the 16th one (Yoannjap) in which I attached a screenshot of the Locus Tasker Plugin possibilities...

You are writing so that Locus does not offer a tutorial. The addon is not from Locus. But there is a little help in the addon. If you have further questions, please contact the developer of the add-on.

Or they ask in the forum how this can be implemented.

Here are specific questions about the add-on:
