Web Planner - Display multiple tracks

Tapio shared this idea 3 years ago
Completed

Hi,

I want to use web planner more effectively. My typical workflow when I use Brouter-Web is:

1. Load numerous tracks (gpx files) - they get displayed

2. Now I can see where I already was

3. Plan a new track considering the old tracks.

I have synced my database into Web Planner, but web planner afaics cannot display (multiple) tracks and allow for planning at the same time. Much needed!

Thx,

Michael

Hi Michael,

thanks for your feedback! We are for sure planning to implement ability to display multiple tracks on map quite soon - we just wasn't able to squeeze this feature to initial launch because of time constrains. :-o

So please stay tuned!

For the sake of it: Here's a closely related topic: https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/23870-web-planner-my-library-points

Hello there! I am really happy to announce that we have reached another BIG milestone and this feature was just released to production. Check out web planner and test yourself. We are looking forward for you feedback :).

You can put on the map several tracks and also multiple point groups. Have fun!

The track visibility icon isn't being displayed for me - any suggestions? Nor points.

Hi Andrew, this is strange. It looks like you are seeing old (cached) version. Do you see points in "My Library". If not, please, let me know your browser and if you are using some plugins to manipulate cache headers? To resolve refreshing browser cache should do the trick - press CTRL + F5 or hold CTRL and click reload page button ;-).

Thanks a lot for the tip. That fixed it! I had tried logging out/ back in, but insufficient.

Perfect, many thanks! This is very useful! (nice to have: maybe in the future, it will be possible to display all tracks within a folder with one click?)

One more little detail - except for being able to make multiple tracks visible, can you add a button to turn on all of the tracks in one folder with a single click? When you have folders with more than 100 tracks, it can be tiring.

Hi, we do not plan to support showing all tracks from the folder because of the browser performance limits. On the other hand we understand that making tracks visible one by one is really tiring. We plan to implement some kind of "good enough" solution that will allow you showing as much as possible without affecting browser performance. But it is not our high priority. Thus I am sorry but I can not give you any ETA :/
