Geocaches: Import URL of Additional Waypoints

If a Geocaching GPX contains Caches with Additional waypoints, an optional <url>-Tag of the waypoints is not imported right now.

This would be useful, especially if playing Adventure Labs, where clicking onto the URL of a waypoint directly opens the correct AL within the Adventure Lab app.

I attached a GPX of an AL containing 5 individual Labs. If clicking onto a Lab, its URL should be listed in the section "LINKS" on the bottom of the site.

Well this is not quite a new idea to implement, but rather a problem to solve: Cause we already can define URLs for Waypoints by clicking onto "Edit". So URLs of Additional waypoints should be able to get imported/exported too.

Hello Sonny,

this is quite complicated task for me. Geocache waypoints does not have options like common points, so adding support for url is a lot of work. 2 votes is not enough to convince me for now :). Thanks for understanding.

HI Menion,

I fully undersand your decision not to implement new features. But I'm not sure if you remember that Locus already implemented support of URLs for waypoints ;-)

Please have a look at both images, we are already able add URLs. So it would just be necessary to parse the <URL>-field of a waypoint within .gpx file and copy its content into the same database field of Locus as it is written by manually creating an URL like in the screenshots.

But if you already thought about this too, and this is still too much work, than it's of course ok for me to live without this feature. ;-)

Hello,

heh, I was really surprised to see your screenshot. But it seems to be a bug because saved after I add a link, save a change and reload a cache, the link is lost. The current system of how the cache waypoints are stored really does not support any additional data which complicates the situation a lot to me.

Ah, ok. Also here the link is not permanent. Then it's ok for me not to implement it now.

Maybe this feature isn't needed anymore in the future if someday Groundspeak provide their Advednture Lab Caches via API and Locus supports it.

Thanks, I also hope so. Btw. API is already available (as mentioned in this task), now it is really only on my side!
