Downloading a map stops because a tile does not exist

Solved

Hi, I try to download a custom map which shows Switzerland similar to http://map.geo.admin.ch/?lang=de&X=190000.00&Y=660000.00&zoom=1&topic=ech&bgLayer=ch.swisstopo.pixelkarte-farbe but not wms. As there are no tiles available outside Switzerland the download in the boarder region is interrupted with: "Process:unsuccessful; Problem with downloading tiles. Check internet connection and space on SDCard and try again!"

If I only try to download an area in the middle of Switzerland, where for sure all tiles exist the download is not interrupted.

I guess the problem is the not existing tile. Locus (Pro in my case) should skip such tiles.

I found a work around by putting e.g. OSM in the background, though locus has a tile for every area. However, then I have some (ugly) unwanted tiles in my map.

Thanks for fixing.

Hello Dani,

Switzerland maps are not allowed to download by terms of use of these maps.

If you try to download any custom maps, which are allowed by terms of use and this problem happen there, please send me your XML configuration and exact area and zoom level you try to download (here or on support.locus@asamm.com) and I'll fix this problem.

Hi, I send you the xml file with the contact form (over read your email, i think you get it anyway).

The zoom level doesn't matter. As soon as a empty tile is involeved the download stops. I also tried to set background="1" or "2" for white or black empty backgrounds but that doesn't work either.

Hello Dani,

issue was on Locus side. Map server returned transparent images and Locus wasn't able to correctly handle them. I'm testing it now and it seems to work correctly. So issue will be fixed in next Locus version (probably tomorrow)
