how to clear a calibration map

Ferdinando Firpo shared this question 2 years ago
Answered

I have been using Locus Map PRO 3.56.5 for my sports, MTB and Trekking activities for many years with good results and fully satisfied.

I have successfully made some calibration maps.

Now I don't need maps anymore.

How can I clear the calibration maps?

Delete the calibration maps?

Hi Ferdinando,

the question is if you want to get rid of the maps forever or just hide them from the screen?

1) how to delete - open Locus menu > more functions > map items > tap ... menu > tap "Delete"

2) how to hide - open Locus content panel (bottom left screen edge) > Active items > select an item > tap the "eye" button

I have updated Locus Map PRO 3.57.1.

I can't make calibration maps anymore.

No image format files (JPF, PNG, GIF) are accepted for map calibration. Not even the same files that I had already used successfully.

What is not working?

Hi Ferdinando,

could you please describe step by step how you proceed? At what step does the error occur? Is any error message displayed? I personally can't simulate the problem - tested on Android 11 and 5.

I have updated Locus Map PRO 3.57.1. I use Android 11 on Samsung Galaxy A50.

I am no longer able to create calibration maps.

No image format files (JPF, PNG, GIF) are accepted for map calibration. Not even the same files that I had already used successfully.

In the attached file I explain what it is.

Hi Ferdinando,

to identify the problem thoroughly, please do the following:

- install a special error-monitoring Locus version from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19Ua4-X76_xb0au6-Fqlk-nxGRXEMaPZD?usp=sharing

- long-press the main menu button until a special hidden menu opens. Tap "Setup logging":

- repeat the action ending with the error - until the error message appears

- shut down Locus

- send the last created log - you'll find it in /Locus/logs/ directory

Thanks!
