Hello! I built a small keypad for the basic functions of Locus Map ... I have been testing it for 2 months on bicycles and motorcycles. It works immediately. Could it be of interest?

I have the same only without cable. Implemented with a Bluetooth remote control. I found it here in the locus forum.

BT was not used because the phone battery lasts less and would require charging the BT remote control battery from time to time

The battery issue with BT is overestimated. The consumption is so low. For a battery charge max. 3 min. less battery. My remote control keeps the battery 3-4 months. When using 3 x 5h in the week.

BT is more of an issue on odler phones tha didnt implement very well. main advantage of a BT device is doesnt use the usb c socket for charging, when my phone is on my bike I always top it up with a battery bank
