Custom live tracking improvements
I am trying to configure a "view only" custom live tracking on my server, to see positions / traces of other people without sending your own location to the server.
However adding the latitude/longitude parameters seems mandatory, and live tracking will only work if GPS is activated.
Maybe you could make latitude/longitude optional, and when they are omitted, ignore the location accuracy, the minimal distance, and still work when the GPS is turned off?
Also, I did not find a way to rename a live tracking item.
Finally, maybe some URL parameters could be configured to be sent only when starting or stopping the tracking, and not for scheduled connections; this would allow to differentiate someone who stopped tracking non-voluntarily (no battery, no signal…) or voluntarily, or to erase the previously recorded track.

I like this idea 
one of the big problems with locus native live tracking is the turning off location as soon as live tracking stops.
with the custom live tracking, im still using gyntas server, i can do a quick update once an hour using tasker, and it remembers where my last location was
if battery gets low, i can update my location...
and i can see location going back last few hundred points, all features needed on locus live tracking
these have all been asked in the past and live tracking improvements are on the roadmap i think...
custom live tracking status would be great, especially if could be updated by tasker, that could handle the low battery updating message.

Also, maybe you could add a way to prompt the user for the value of a parameter, when he starts (or stops) tracking. Either for a parameter that is used every time, or for a parameter that is sent only when starting or stopping the tracking. For example, the user could indicate his destination and expected arrival time…
