Lock Locus Maps to prevent accidental touch

When I am riding my Bike in the Rain, the Rain Drops Fall on my display and trigger random actions within the locus App (zooming, pausing etc) and minimizing the app itself or changing to another App, closing the app. This is pretty annoying, my Smartphone is water resistant, but during Rain locus Maps is pretty difficult to use (ok, EVERY app is difficult to use 😉) especially when navigating and recording is activated, and it should Do nothing Else than this!

Do you think there is a Chance or Option, to Lock an App in Android this way I described? 🤔

Hello Johannes,

do you know the function called Screen lock? Did it a try, it should be what you are looking for.

Hey Menion,

Indeed I did NOT know this function although I Was looking for it. Thanks a lot, this helps and reduces random touches on the screen a lot.

Unfortunately, it doesn't block the buttons "App change" , "Home" and "back" on my phone. I guess it is technically not possible to Lock these Buttons too 🤔

I wrote a related topic 6 years ago - https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/the-screen-is-not-fully-locked-in-screen-lock-mode-ignore-down-swipe-from-top-of-screen - fortunately my newer phone doesn't not suffer so much from raindrops being interpreted as random taps.

My other suggestion, now lost in poor help search system, was an idea that even with Screen Lock, being able to zoom in/ out would be quite useful.

Hello,

hmm right, this is technically not possible without special permission that I did not want to acquire from the users.

Anyway as I think about it, the solution may be to automatically enable full-screen mode when "Screen lock" is enabled. Let's try it with next app version...
