Solved

In previous versions locus open links to google map, for example https :/ / maps.google.com / maps?q = loc: lat, lon. After updates this feature is missing. It was very convenient to use, and view location from other apps. Will this feature in future releases?

Hi,

I'm testing it and you're correct that such url do not work.

But was it working in previous Locus versions? Because I found, that problem is "https" protocol. If url is just "http", then it works.

Hmm anyway you're correct, that even with http protocol, there is any problem. Thanks for report, I'll fix this issue to next Locus version.

EDIT: fixed, thanks

I have still the similar problem - when I try to open this link froms SMS (from GPS in my car) http://maps.google.com/maps?t=m&q=49.220634+16.647762 LocusPro starts and then write "Proces neúspěšný" without viewing the GPS point. Some time before I alwasy view these points.

Hi

Is it possible to open googlemap link in format "www.maps.google.com/maps?q=(43.00000,15.50000)"? Because cerberus 2.5.1 sends sms with this format of link.

Some older versions was sending sms with googlemap links in format "http://maps.google.com/maps?q=(43.00000,15.50000)" but they aren't probably compatible with kitkat and I don't know where to download them.

Can you help me with this?

Thanks

Hello cerber, are you sure it do not work? I'm testing it on mobile Google Chrome and it correctly offers apps from device together with Locus and Locus open this point correctly.

What browser are you using? And in same browser, second link works for you?

I have Sony Ericsson Xperia Min Pro SK17i with stock android 4.0.4 ics, I use latest version of dolphin browser and latest version of locus free. When I installed latest version of cerberus (2.5.1), it sends sms containing link in format "www.maps.google.com/maps?q=(43.00000,15.50000)". When I click on such link, dolphin browser opens, but I want to open link with Locus.

Now I solved problem by installing later version of cerberus 2.4.2, and it sends sms containing link in format "http://maps.google.com/maps?q=(43.00000,15.50000)". When I click on such link I can choose to open it with Dolphin Browser, Locus Free or Radar.

I also tried it with several Links directly from Google Maps website.

I tried the perma-link, the link copied from the adress bar and the short link from the new as well from the old version of Google Maps. Locus didn't recognize any of them. Only the Link sent directly from Locus worked.

Christian please, if there is any problem, give me exact steps that leads to this problem. Few links I tested in previous times, worked. If any don't write me exactly what to do, so I may simulate same issue on my device and fix it. Thanks

test link from new Google Maps:

link from old GMaps:

link created by Locus (as reference test):

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Punkt@51.01958,13.76643

Only the last link was able to open with Locus. I tested it on my Android 4.4.4 Galaxcy Ace and a Huawai device.

Hello Christian,

main difference is in maps.google.DE ending. Locus currently handle only COM endings. So thanks for report, in next 3.5.2 should be correctly loaded.

I have anyway quite serious problems for adding a support for new links based on google.x/maps/place url. So these will still not work for now.

@Menion,

maybe it is possible to make the program open in such a format? https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mswds474woU17S1R7

Hello Don,

as I see, this short link redirects into "places" link that is simply impossible to handle without paid access to Google Maps stuff, so sorry, this is not possible. Thanks for understanding.
