Render name and ref of track, cycleway, footway, path

Please render names and ref-numbers of track, cycleway, footway, path in Web Planner. Even for ways which are not part of a route-relation in OSM. They are important infos for planing tours

Because alpine hiking routes in countries like Austria, Germany, Switzerland etc. usually are defined by a ref-number which is referenced on signposts, infoboards, books, websites and hiking maps. Most of these alpine routes just consists of a ref-number and dont have an additional name.
And since not all of these alpine routes are mapped as an OSM-relation, right now we can not find hiking route "123" on your planner. The same ist true for name-only ways and ways which share both: name and ref but not being definied as an OSM route.

I see, thanks for clarification. This is more related to our search capability which we are planning to look on soon. So we will put this to the considerations.

Thanks, but I'm not sure if it's just some feature only for "the search" if I understood you correct.
At least as helpful would be to see numbers and names within the map. One thing is to search for a specific route. But the other use-case is to get this numbers/names by looking at the map and planning a tour by following these routes numbers.
A nice example is the "outdoors" style from Mapbox collegues for path https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/80533767 where ref+name is rendered

@Sonny: have you had a look at the contour lines, comparing MapBox, LoMaps and OAM?

@Michael Bechtold: Yes I know that the contour lines of most of online maps are far from ideal since they are all SRTM-based or even worse. If somebody relies on decent contour lines in alpine regions he should use OAM.
