there are lots of reasons that we don't prefer system computing and thing...

i just want to choose my route and have it voice guidance because i know better directions and this way i also don't need to be online.

why i can't do that?

Hi,

there is more possibilities:

1. Create own route

There is feature Menu > More > Add new route & measure. It enables to define route manually over the map. Please see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:functions:add_new_route_measure

2. Import own track

Locus is able to navigate along your prepared track. So you can crate track at home > import it into Locus and use it for navigation - see: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:navigation_guiding:navigation_along_own_track
