Nav to next overpass / bridge

This is half asking for help, half a feature request.

As Locus Map is used by many bikers and moto-bike riders, and since we live in times where heavy, unexpected rain is more and more often happening, I wonder if LM couldn't easily be used (or adapted) to navigate the user to the nearest overpass or bridge at the push of a button, in other words a place where s/he can wait until the rain or thunderstorm in gone or less dangerous,

I am assuming that LM knows about the locations of any such bridges, just that at this moment there is no way for the user to identify such places or use them as destination.

What I have in mind is a little bit like what every handheld aviation GPS offers ("goto nearest runway").

Is anybody interested ? how difficult would it be to add to LM ?

Its quite a specific use case, but would work if there was an option to search locus lopoints database from tasker, or get tasker to search online (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/API) , return an array, find closest point to current location

Then those coordinates can be used with action tasks and locus can guide to the point.

Hello fellow bikers. There is no concept of overpass or bridge so far in both online and offline database of places. A bridge can be considered and added maybe (not all of them, just the historical or somehow important ones). But how do we know which one is suitable as shelter? This is tricky and again, there will be just the important ones. There is another feature which is coming to the app soon and which can be already tested in the web planner. If we type "shelter" in the EN web planner settings, or similar words in other languages into the search bar, then click the recommendation of Shelter (category), all shelters over map are toggled (highlighted). These are mostly places like bus stops or sheltered picnic tables for tourists. There is also little but slowly increasing chance, you even get a photo by some other Locus user. (If you are online). Navigating or planing a route to such a place is then easy. Search for nearby shelters also works offline, with limited functionality.

Bus stop with the tag: shelter=yes would also still be suitable for shelter.

If we could convince users to just find and add one "shelter" in their vicinity to an online points database (GPX with or without a photo), then this database would grow rapidly and at no cost. This has been done before. Any chance we could provide common space for upload, and have a note in the Locus Map information menu (red circle top left) which asks users for this little support ?

@AJ - the database of online points is based on OSM (openstreetmap.org) project. Adding missing shelters (and removing those not existing anymore) is to be done there. This way the source is updated (for everyone, not just Locus users). Once the source OSM database is updated, Locus will follow that update within a week or so. Adding photos is slightly different, this is done in Locus (Android app) only, at least so far.
