Crash when Quick POi saves when screen turned off

Christian Pietzsch shared this problem 9 years ago
Solved

At first I'm using Cyanogemod 11 on a Galaxy Ace. The problem accured in Locus version 3.2.3 and the version before.

When I'm saving a Quick POI my smartphones isn't that fast. It takes some time while locus says "Working...". When i switch of my screen while this massage is shown, Locus crashes and I'm back at the desktop. One thing I noticed is, if I turn my screen on before locus is finished saving the point no crash happens.

Greetings

Christian

Good day Christian,

I'm mainly surprised, that it take you soo

long to save it. Anyway unfortunately I'm unable to simulate this

problem, so may you please try to create for me a log by this method?

Hi

sry that I didn't reply.

There seems to be a problem with my cm version (creating a bug report doesn't work)

Trying to update it at the moment, but something went wrong and I had to wipe it.

I'm going to post a status report as soon as possible.

Christian, you really don't have to be sorry, because there is no need to hurry :).

No problem, when you find out some time later and will be able to create a log with crash, let me know.

Hi

I finally found a way to do a bug report. I used logcat within the android terminal.

The first crash in the log was a "normal" crash that happens from time to time to all of my apps. The second (last crash in this log) was the problem I mentioned.

Besides this crash I have another question. I have seen that there were lines in the log where locus uses Chinese letters. I found a few files on my sdcard that also only have Chinese letters. Do these files have something to do with locus?

Thanks for your great support

Good day Christian,

thank you for Your log. It helps a lot. Issue found and hope that fixed. Mystery for me remains, why saving a point took so long to you. May some weird problem with CM11 :).

Nice thanks

As you said I don't think the saving time is an locus issue. Sometimes running Android 4.4.4 on an old device makes it a bit slow (especially because I have to link all app data to my SD card)
