GPS position lock button shows odd behaviour

Solved

This might have a reason, but it looks like a bug to me:

When I tap the lower-left button to center the map on the current position, all is fine. The button is inverted and the map follows my position. Now when I move the map with my fingers, it stops following, which is also what I expect. But the button is still inverted, as if the map was still locked on position. To re-enable the locking, I have to tap it twice.

This looks counter-intuitive to me. Either moving the map should be impossible when locked, or the button should revert to normal state once the map is moved and the position-lock is off.

Using latest Locus 3.5.1

Not sure I fully understand, anyway please try to check this manual : http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:settings:map_control - item "Hold center method" . This may helps to understand.

Btw. in current version is a small issue where centering works immediately and not after five seconds in case, you move to top-left corner of the screen. Will be fixed in next version.

Did you tried to wait a while (5-10 seconds), what happen? :)

As a matter of fact, it does.

Now that you're mentioning that, I may have stumbled upon an option to disable this here in the forum, but can't remember - is that so?

Yeah, it was that exactly: I had "hold center" checked - now I unchecked it and it works just as I expected it.

Thanx for the quick help, this one is 100% solved :)

Sure, you're welcome.

I may only suggest to check this "hold center method", because it is really very very useful (from my point of view).
