Parameters distance range

I use Locus Map for hiking. In the Recording Profile settings, when I insert Parameters>Distance Range and select 5 metres I get a warning that it is less than the recommended 10 metres, is there a reason for this and what range would you recommend for hiking?

Besr regards

Hi,

the reason is saving data and performance/battery. A 10 m interval is pretty OK for hiking, no need to use a more-grained record. But of course it's up to you. I myself use 25m AND 10 s and the recorded line is pretty smooth.

Hello.

The reason for a 5-metre Interval is because of the paths with many curves in a row in the form of zig-zags or street corners.

I was struck by the warning message.

Thank you very much.

I have 0m and 4s when hiking. This has been a good value for the last 5 years. 25m would be a lot for me. Curves are cut off and the distance is then too short.
