Map list gone since map moved to SD card and last update

Hi,

I am using ver. 4.27.2 with Gold licence. I have moved my vector maps to an SD card in my phone recently and there has been an update 5 days ago. Now I can see all maps displayed but they have disappeared from my Offline maps list. So I cant't manage or update them.

I suppose this might be a bug in the new update but if you have any tips, please let me know.

Thank you,

Tamás

How did you move them? And WHERE did you move them?

In any case: Locus has this "+" function in map manager

I used the Settings - Backup and file management - File Manager - Custom Folder Settings menu, and there the maps/Vector setting. I chose the root of the SD Card as I use it only for Locus, nothing else. It went well, maps were moved. But then the latest update came.

And all maps are active in the app now. But the list is empty. And when I try to use the "+" option, there is an "unexpected error" ("Unable to create a directory europe inside Locus...").

I found that the data were corrupted somehow. After some time, the files and folders on the SD card were not visible on the card (they were there if I used a card reader in a PC). So I formatted the card and downloaded the maps again. They were there finally!

And today, the list is gone again. Something is very strange here, I don't know yet if it is app related or not. The maps are displayed and the app is working, apart from this.

When I experienced similar effects, inside and outside Locus, some years back, this was a precursor to final death of that SD. I had that twice, maybe 5 years ago. Not after that, fingers crossed.

Thanks for the tip. It may be so but recently, I deliberately chose slow formatting just to test the card (Lenovo). But everything is possible.

Hi Tamás,

What version of Android OS do you use? Could you please send a screenshot of this screen on your phone?

My Android is Android 9 (MIUI 11). But it seems to be OK so far. I have replaced the SD card as recently recommended here. I'll see if it will be OK.

OK, on Android 9 the root of the SD card should work as the storage for your maps.
